Oliver Ferreira
Oliver Ferreira (189-G-1993) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Capitanes and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 29-year old guard had the game-high 38 points adding eight rebounds and six assists for Capitanes in his team's victory, helping them to crush Evolve OL (#4, 1-7) with 18-point margin 122-104. Capitanes maintains the 3rd position in their group in Dominican Rep. LDC. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Capitanes will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. Ferreira just recently signed at Capitanes, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ferreira has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 26.5ppg), assists (3rd best: 5.3apg) and averages solid 3.4spg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Capitanes' star - young center Adris Rodriguez (203-C-1988). Rodriguez impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds. Of course together with Ferreira he helped Capitanes with another comfortable win 122-104 over slightly lower-ranked Evolve OL (#4, 1-7) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in East. Capitanes consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 5-3 record is not bad at all. Rodriguez is one of the most experienced players at Capitanes and similarly like Oliver Ferreira has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was American James Milton (203-F-1992) of top-ranked Immortals. Milton scored 28 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Immortals, leading his team to a 115-86 easy win against #3 ranked Sameji. Immortals confirms their top position in West. Milton has a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.5ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 10.1rpg (4th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
